After purchasing land from B.G. Cowper in 1920, prominent builder C.V. York constructed this magnificent Italian Renaissance residence for his growing family. The man whose tall legacy includes two of Raleigh’s most significant landmarks – Memorial Auditorium and the NC State Bell Tower – built a home to last for generations. The present owners, whose family first acquired the property in 1934, have stewarded that legacy beautifully, sparing no expense to preserve and modernize this storied estate.©
